Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (JEDI)

Lodestar's JEDI facilitation is deeply collaborative, building upon principles of trust, transparency, empowerment and peer support. Emphasis is placed on the co-creation of cultures that value both/and thinking with a focus on abundance and mutual respect. The process is communication-intensive, deeply reflective, strengths based and aspirational.
Lodestar's JEDI facilitators are experts in building trauma-aware containers to support the intentional and aspirational work of creating just, equitable and inclusive workplaces. We know that answers often lie in building communication, leadership, and polarities skill sets that allow space for - and actively encourage - the bridging and deliberate incorporation of divergent lived experiences. Intentional work with teams helps foster the deep-listening skills that facilitate curious inquiry about others, particularly those who view the world differently.
Diversity is a given: we are diverse in lived experience, world view, gender, sexual preference, race, culture and ethnicity. Lodestar facilitators help expand collective understanding about the range of our differences, and assist in identifying the tremendous value that brings: Diverse workplaces and environments are foundational to broad thinking and innovation.
Inclusive cultures invite an array of ideas and foster a safe environment where employees can bring their best selves to work. Lodestar facilitators guide the co-creation of Inclusion values that notice and are deliberative about identifying missing voices and messages, works to eliminate real and perceived barriers to participation and belonging, and generates space in which differences can flourish.
Justice focuses on the centering and amplification of those voices and experiences that have been silenced or marginalized. Justice seeks to identify where there are barriers to access and deliberately responds with Equity, ensuring that barriers are eliminated. Building just, inclusive and equitable work environments that value the dignity and humanity of every person results in empowered employees who are engaged and whose creativity can flourish.
The result is marked improvement in employee engagement, creativity and job satisfaction, reduced attrition, increases in meaningful productivity metrics, enhanced talent utilization via alignment of tasks with aptitudes, a broader lens, transformative leadership skills and substantive, multifactorial financial gains.
